Current Aptex AI configuration. This policy reflects the current application inspected for this release: no user account system, no payments, no advertising network, and no analytics vendor are wired into the app. The current generator sends user-provided text and selected context/settings to an Aptex AI Netlify Function, which sends the generation request to Groq for inference.
1. Operator and scope
Aptex AI (the “Service”) is operated by Arpit Pathak from Nepal and is available at https://aptexai.netlify.app.

2. Information you provide
Aptex AI supports two input methods. In Text mode, you can enter a message manually, along with optional context, situation details, and your selected vibe, tone, personality, format, and related settings. In Screenshot mode, you can upload one screenshot of a conversation so Aptex AI can identify the relevant visible message and generate a reply.
A conversation screenshot may contain names, usernames, profile pictures, messages, timestamps, reactions, or other information visible in the image. Aptex AI processes the screenshot to understand the visible conversation, identify the message you should answer, and generate the requested reply using the selected vibe.
In the inspected application code, screenshot bytes are held temporarily in browser memory and are sent in the request to the Aptex AI Netlify Function. The function decodes and validates the image in memory and sends it to Groq for vision inference. There is no application database or file-storage write for screenshots, and the screenshot is not intentionally written to localStorage. The app's saved history records a [Screenshot] marker and the generated reply, not the screenshot image itself.
The current code does not implement an application-level screenshot cache or screenshot-content logging. Its error logs record provider status/type/code/message or other sanitized operational metadata rather than screenshot bytes or the full screenshot contents. Browser-held screenshot data can remain in page memory until you replace/remove it or leave the page.
The share-card feature is different: it renders an already-generated message and reply in the browser for download or sharing.
3. How AI processing works
The current architecture is your browser → Aptex AI Netlify Function → Groq API → your browser. The Groq API key is stored server-side and is not placed in the public page source.
Text generation uses the configured Groq model openai/gpt-oss-20b. Screenshot mode sends the image and task instructions to Groq's configured vision model qwen/qwen3.8-27b. The screenshot path uses the visible conversation in the image to identify the relevant incoming message and attempts to reply in the language of that conversation. Text mode likewise attempts to reply in the language of the submitted message.
Aptex AI does not intentionally use submitted content to train an Aptex AI model. Groq's current data documentation says inference customer data is not retained by default, while limited temporary retention of inputs/outputs can occur for reliability troubleshooting or suspected-abuse investigation, with such logs retained for up to 30 days unless a longer period is legally required. Groq also states that inputs and outputs are not used for model training or fine-tuning unless permission is explicitly granted or instructed. Aptex AI's application code does not establish whether any account-level Groq data-control setting changes those defaults, so that provider-level setting should be reviewed separately. 4. Local browser storage
Aptex AI does not currently require an account. The app stores certain information locally in your browser using localStorage, including generated history, saved/favorite items, selected mode, sound preference, and streak information. Local browser storage can contain the text you submitted and the generated reply when those values are saved as part of history or favorites.
This browser storage is not an Aptex cloud account database. It remains on your device until you clear it, the browser removes it, or the application overwrites/removes it.
This control clears the local Aptex keys used by the current app on this browser. It cannot erase records independently controlled by Netlify, Groq, CDN providers, or your operating system/browser.
5. Share cards and downloaded images
When you use Share or the card feature, Aptex AI creates a visual conversation card in the browser using client-side rendering. The current download feature produces a PNG image on your device; the card is not uploaded to an Aptex AI storage system as part of the download action.
A card can contain the message you entered and the generated response. If you use your device's native share functionality or upload the downloaded image elsewhere, the receiving platform may process that information under its own privacy policy.
6. Cookies, storage, and third-party resources
The current code does not intentionally set advertising or analytics cookies and does not implement account authentication cookies. It uses localStorage for local app state rather than a login-cookie system. Screenshot image data is not stored in localStorage; it is held temporarily in page memory for the active screenshot workflow.
The site loads some front-end resources from third-party providers, including Netlify-hosted infrastructure, Google Fonts, cdnjs, jsDelivr, and related public libraries used by the interface. Those providers can receive standard technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested resource, and timing when your browser requests their resources.
Aptex AI does not intentionally send your chat prompt or screenshot as an analytics event to those static-asset providers.
7. Hosting and security
Aptex AI is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may process technical information such as IP address and browser information and may maintain operational/function logs under its own service rules. Netlify Privacy Statement.
The Aptex AI function applies request-size limits, rate controls, duplicate-request protection, encrypted API transport, and sanitized operational error logging. The inspected function's console error messages contain provider status/type/code/message or generic handler metadata; they do not intentionally log the full user message, image bytes, or API key.
8. Purposes of processing
We process information as reasonably necessary to provide AI-generated replies and ideas, maintain security and reliability, prevent abuse, operate the website, respond to privacy or legal requests, and comply with applicable law.
9. International processing
Because Aptex AI uses service providers such as Netlify and Groq, information may be processed outside Nepal. Groq states that retained customer data is stored in Google Cloud Platform locations in the United States and describes contractual safeguards for applicable international transfers. Review the provider documentation for the latest details.
10. Nepal privacy framework
Aptex AI is operated from Nepal and intends to respect applicable privacy requirements, including the Privacy Act, 2075 (2018), which addresses privacy and protection of personal information and includes rules concerning collection, use, confidentiality, and electronic data. The Act provides that personal data collection should generally involve the concerned person's consent and that personal information should be collected and used consistently with the permitted purpose. This policy is intended to describe the current Service accurately rather than to waive any right that cannot lawfully be waived.
11. GDPR and European users
Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights that include access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and other rights provided by the regulation. The legal basis for a particular processing activity may depend on the context, including providing the requested service, legitimate interests, legal obligations, or consent where consent is required.
The GDPR right to erasure is subject to legal exceptions and does not mean every record must always be deleted immediately. Official GDPR text.
12. California users
To the extent the CCPA/CPRA applies to Aptex AI, California residents may have rights relating to access/know, deletion, correction, applicable opt-outs, and non-discrimination, subject to statutory exceptions and verification requirements. The current Service does not operate an advertising or data-broker business model.

13. How to request access, correction, or deletion
Email vibegenaii@gmail.com with the subject line Aptex AI Privacy Request. State the request you are making and provide only the information reasonably necessary for us to verify and process it.
You can also clear browser-stored Aptex AI history and favorites immediately using the local-data control on this page. We will process eligible statutory requests within the period required by applicable law, subject to lawful exceptions and reasonable identity verification.
14. Data retention
Screenshot images are not persisted by Aptex AI's application storage. The browser can hold the image temporarily in page memory while the screenshot workflow is active, and the server function processes the submitted image in request memory. The screenshot itself is not added to the app's local history/favorites storage.
Text inputs and generated replies may remain in your browser when saved to local history or favorites, until you remove them or the browser clears the site data. The current Service does not maintain a user account database.
Provider and infrastructure records may exist under the policies of the services handling the request. Groq currently documents default non-retention for inference customer data with limited temporary retention for reliability/abuse investigations, potentially up to 30 days. Netlify and other infrastructure providers may maintain their own operational records. The exact account-level provider retention controls enabled for Aptex AI are not represented in the application source code.
15. Children's privacy
Aptex AI is not directed to children under 13. If your local law requires a higher minimum age or parental consent, the applicable local rule controls. Do not use the Service to submit personal information about a child unless you are legally authorized to do so.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service, providers, or applicable legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted here with a revised date.
